Expert Mediation for Complex Insurance Coverage Disputes
Based in Texas and available nationwide, James H. (“Hamp”) Moody, III focuses exclusively on resolving complex insurance, extra-contractual, reinsurance, and coverage-driven tort disputes with the insight that comes from 47+ years of litigation experience.
You don’t need to educate your mediator. You need one who already understands insurance.
In most litigation, the parties disagree about what the case is worth.
In insurance coverage disputes, they often disagree about what the case is about.
When that happens, mediation can stall—not because the parties are unwilling to resolve the case, but because they are focused on different drivers of risk.
Coverage and liability issues are tightly intertwined
Exposure is evaluated differently by each side
Parties can end up talking past each other
This dynamic requires a mediator who understands what is actually driving the dispute.
THE DIFFERENCE
Don’t Waste Time Educating Your Mediator.
Mediators with a genuine understanding of insurance coverage are uncommon. After a 47-year career representing both insurers and policyholders, Hamp Moody focuses his mediation practice exclusively on insurance, extra-contractual, reinsurance, and coverage-driven tort disputes, the types of cases he knows best.
From the outset, you are working with a mediator who understands the issues driving the dispute without needing to be brought up to speed.
That allows the parties to focus on what matters: evaluating risk, narrowing differences, and moving the case toward resolution.

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice, no later than the commencement of the mediation session. Accepted forms of payment include cash or check. Please ensure all payment arrangements are confirmed prior to your scheduled session date.
